Gabriel

At stud - $2000

Background:

Gabriel is our award-winning true black herd sire. In his inaugural show season he won three blue ribbons
and a third place ribbon at the prestigious 2008 MAPACA Jubilee, the largest alpaca show ever held.
Judge Kevin O'Leary said of Gabriel that he was the "total package" and "perfect phenotype". Judge
Sharon Loner also said his fleece was the "total package" and his conformation was excellent. At MAPACA
he placed above the first place winner from the 2008 North American Alpaca show, and was told by Judge
Tim Lavan, who said the first four ribbon winners were "very even", that he had the finest fleece in the class.

Gabriel is a gorgeous young true black male with ultra soft fleece just full of crimp and bundles. He
has a regal presence even at his young age, and an incredibly sweet disposition as well. After
examining Gabriel, who stood perfectly still throughout, Judge O'Leary stepped back and announced to the
crowd "now this is how an alpaca is supposed to behave."

Gabriel is the son of Powerplay's Shadow and Jewel of the Nile, and grandson of Black Icecapade and
Peruvian Powerplay. Black Icecapade is a show champion many times over and one of the top five black
herdsires in the USA. Peruvian Powerplay, son of Accoyo Timoteo, is also a multiple show champion, and
is one of the nation's premier herdsires -- an extraordinary half Accoyo male with an elite fleece with
deep, bold crimp, excellent density and consistant coverage throughout.

Powerplay's Shadow is a half Peruvian/half Bolivian bay black male with a dense but very fine fleece with
bold consistant crimp throughout and heavy bone. Shadow has won two championships, one reserve championship,
and six first place ribbons at prestigious shows such as the MAPACA Jubilee, Virginia Classic, and VAOBA.
Gabriel, like his father, has a great head and very stout stance. Gabriel's mother, Jewel, also has an
impressive show record, with first place ribbons at MAPACA and the Virginia Classic. With this lineage,
we are going to continue to expect big things from Gabriel.
